Member of The Month Awards - 2026
Member of The Month, an honor bestowed monthly, recognizes a club member who has dedicated significant time and talent to promoting club activities. The recipient of this honor is nominated by club members, and receives a complimentary lunch.
January - Pat Dolan
For the month of January, the club recognizes Pat Dolan as our Member of the Month. She continues to serve as Advisor, which is a gift to me. Her nominators appreciate that she steps up when needed, such as helping with reservations and closing out auction tabs. Pat is a calm, thoughtful leader. She reminds us to participate in member- building activities, such as the ‘Welcome to Woodbury’ event. We participated this past October, with Pat providing flyers, the tablecloth and arranging volunteers. She influences us all to be better! Congratulations on being this month’s Member of The Month!
February - Sue Wickert
For the month of February, Sue Wickert is recognized as our Member of the Month. She has organized the Quilting Buddies group for the past five years. A steady group of ten to twelve women gathers each month to share their love of sewing. Sue has also stepped into the role of Lunch Coordinator in 2026. She and her partner Coordinator, Becky Bettmann, are contacting restaurants, picking menus, and providing lunch opportunities for SPANRC.
Thank you, Sue, for continuing to coordinate the Quilting Buddies and taking on the new role of Lunch Coordinator! We appreciate all your work!
March - Miriam Johnson and Wendy Bruchez
In March, we celebrate club members' achievements by recognizing two outstanding women. They both joined SPANRC in 2023. You, the members, nominated them. Ladies, all your contributions are noticed and appreciated. Thank you.
Miriam Johnson took on the role of Bingo Coordinator in April 2025. The Bingo group enjoys a monthly game where prizes and friends are won.
Thank you, Miriam, for stepping into this leadership role in this activity. You provide monthly notices in the Partyline, handle reservations for your activity, and set up the room.
Wendy Bruchez took on the role of one of our Events Coordinators and planned our fun January Mandala rock/votive painting class. She is active in the quilting group. She showed initiative during the 2025 Mystery Bus tour by obtaining a wheelchair for a member with walking difficulties.
April - Elaine Magnuson and Amanda Riley
Elaine Magnuson and Amanda Riley share the April spotlight as our Members of the Month. Please extend your thanks to these Members of the Month.
Elaine Magnuson joined SPANRC in 2021. She is a frequent visitor and contributor to Book Club. She is described as the voice of wisdom and experience. Members appreciate her involvement and friendship. She is delightful.
Mandy Riley joined SPANRC in 2025 and immediately started volunteering to help wherever needed. She currently serves as one of our Coffee Coordinators. She is kind, caring, and handles things with sound judgment. We are fortunate that she chose to join SPANRC.
