MADAME X - 2017
Madame X is an honor bestowed monthly on a club member who has given a great deal of time and talent to promote club activities. The recipient of this honor receives a free lunch.
January - Margaret Mitchell
It is my greatest pleasure to award this month’s Madame X to a most deserving woman – Margaret Mitchell. Not only is Margaret a fun, creative and interesting person – she can throw a “rockin” ornament exchange party! The party and games was all Margaret! I can’t wait to see what she will come up with at the next ornament exchange! No pressure!
February - Cindy Muma
It is my greatest pleasure to award this month’s Madame X to another most deserving woman – Cindy Muma! Cindy is one of the sweetest and most caring persons I know. She is a jack-of-all-trades but the trade that won her this month’s Madame X is her ability to “get” (i.e. understand and actually enjoy) organizing money. Cindy conducted our 2016 audit with the grace and flair of a ballerina! Her ability to organize and produce a spreadsheet is a work of art that I do not (and will never) possess! Thank you Cindy!
March - Nancy Hildreth
It is with great pleasure that I award this month's Madame X to a most deserving member - Nancy Hildreth! All members, new and old, have had the opportunity to meet this lovely lady. You are not going to find a more friendly and outgoing person. Nancy is a natural at her job as our Membership Chairperson. She goes above and beyond to make not just new members, but everyone welcomed. Thank you Nancy! You so deserve it!
April - Susan Handley and Nancy Schrimp
This month’s Madame X and Madame Y (get it…X and Y? So clever, don’t you think! Thanks Margaret for the idea!) goes to the Dynamic Duo - Susan Handley and Nancy Schrimp. These ladies are only on their 4th month and have “pulled out all the stops”! You gals have come up with some fun and original outings that go above and beyond! SPANRC is very lucky to have such organized, well connected, and creative Activity Co-chairs. Thanks so much for your hard work…it is very appreciated!
May - Julie Langley
This month’s Madame X goes to an outstanding member whose generosity and taste in men can’t be beat. We are fortunate to have such a sweet and well-connected lady in our midst. Thank you, Julie Langley, for your wonderful connection (i.e. her husband) and help (especially the last minute part) in arranging our tour of the US Bank Stadium…you are the greatest!
June - Jerre Ebbesen
It is my pleasure and honor to bestow this month’s Madame X to a most deserving SPANRC member – Jerre Ebbesen. I have had the privilege of getting to know this beautiful lady (both inside and out) this past year. Jerre is one of the wittiest persons I know (even more than me). Her sense of humor leaves a smile on my face and in my heart. Both myself and SPANRC are very lucky and blessed to have Jerre in our lives.
September - Karin Erickson
September’s Madame X is awarded to a most worthy lady, Karin Erickson! Karin has been a vital member of the Board the past several years. Karin is very generous with her time and talent. She has worked very hard on our SPANRC Website to make it "21st Century Worthy" and fabulous! Thanks Karin for sharing your computer savvy skills and kind heart with the Club!
October - Sandy Junker
This month’s prestigious Madame X award goes to one of the sweetest, kindest, patient-est (I know it’s not a real word but it should be because she is way above the regular patient level) persons I know…Sandy Junker. Sandy has perhaps the hardest Board position. She fulfills her position with the grace and kind-heartedness of a Saint. There is no patron saint of newsletters, but if there was, Sandy’s picture would be right there. Every month (without fail – at least I’m consistent) Sandy quietly and patiently waits for my tardy Party Line submission. Thank you, Sandy, for your hard work! You are truly appreciated!
November - Janet Hamernick
This month’s Madame X goes to a most deserving member. This special lady has gone above and beyond for our club for ages. She is the reason we have experienced a fabulous Fundraiser these past several years. Many thanks to Janet Hamernick for serving as our Annual Fundraiser chairperson. Your dedication to our club is greatly appreciated!
December - Sharon Novak
I saved the best for last! Without the help from this wonderful lady, many things this past year would have dropped through the cracks. She is the Yang to my Yen. The Robin to my Batman. The Hutch to my Starsky. The Sundance Kid to my Butch Cassidy. The Louise to my Thelma. You get the picture! I couldn’t have done it without the lovely Sharon Novak. Thanks so much for all you do – you are truly appreciated!
